I hope many of you will be able to
attend this year's Annual General Meeting on 14th March at Atlantic Wharf.
This year one of our much travelled members Jane Baltzars will be sharing
her knowledge and love of Africa's big cats with us.
I hope this picture of Flat Holm will remind us all what a very special
place it is, a world apart yet just a 30 minute boat trip away.
Whilst we
have very enthusiastic and committed members of the Society we desperately
need more, particularly as Tour Guides. We are having a training day on
Sunday 20th March on the island, for existing and new guides. Tour Guides
are a valuable help to the Project and enable us to share our love of the
island with visitors who are invariably surprised by the variety of
wildlife and history on such a small island. Do come along for a
taster.
If this is not for you there are many other ways you could help. We have
our Long Day visits on Saturdays July 9th and August 6th when we have time
to complete useful projects - followed by a barbecue of course! I look
forward to welcoming you to these events.
Please contact me on 01446-733536 if you are able to join us on any
of these days.
